TAKE ACTION!
STEP 1: CONTACT YOUR GOVT. REPS!
CONGRESS (not the carnal kind!)
CALL CALL CALL! Visit in person! You may email, too, but CALL your Congressional representatives, your House Rep. and your Senator. You voted for them to be your power and voice in the nation's government, so tell them what you want!
TIPS!
Call your LOCAL office! Congressional staffers have told us that the most attention is paid to constituents (that's you, Honey!) who live in the Congressperson's district and who contact the local office. You are more likely to get through and be heard than calling the Washington DC office, and more likely to have your message passed onward. Or go over and drop in!
You will speak with a staffer. That's OK, they help the Congressperson who relies on them for the voters' (your) messages and thoughts.
