Sister Hava Nagila Joined Order: 2009 Sponsor: Sister Tragedy Ann Fully Professed: 2011
"The Jewish Nun of Los Angeles" graduated from the Yeshiva of Flatbush and then attended the Sacred Heart Convent School. Shortly after, she was placed in the Los Angeles house of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. She is very happy that she is able to answer Fanny Brice's question from "Sadie, Sadie" in Funny Girl, "Yes, a convent WOULD take a Jewish girl!"
Sister Hava feels she was called to the Sisterhood for the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam (Healing the world) and enjoys doing bar ministry, particularly when the bar offers Manischewitz, which isn't too often in L.A.
In her spare time she enjoys gefelte fishing and eating peanut butter sandwiches on matzah. Her blessing for all of you reading this is "Whenever you spin the dreidle, may you always get the Gimmel!"
